Martin Shkreli’s Court Sketches Made Him Look Like the Bridge Troll That He Is

So “Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli was found guilty of securities fraud today. You’ll remember him as the dude who raised HIV drugs 5000%, bought up that one-off Wu-Tang Clan record and got dog s**t thrown in his face. YOLO!

The specific charges were all of the fraud and conspiracy variety.

Mr. Shkreli was convicted of securities fraud in connection with his hedge fund MSMB Capital; of securities fraud in connection with another hedge fund he ran, MSMB Healthcare; and of conspiracy to commit securities fraud, related to a scheme in which he tried to secretly control a huge portion of shares of Retrophin, a drug company he started.
He faces up to 20 years on each of the first two counts, and up to five years on the final count.

Before the trial, he said he’d be found “so innocent” that the judge, jury and prosecutors would have to apologize to him. Welllll, turns out that’s not the case.

The biggest enjoyment of this trial, besides seeing this guy squirm, were the courtroom sketches of Shkreli. Whoever did these needs to be nominated for whatever award they give people who draw. Is that the Nobel Peace Prize? Please make up a category just for these.

The sketch artist hasn’t titled any of his masterpieces, so I will do the liberty for you.

“From high school locker to Brooklyn courtroom”

“I just want to be loved”

 “Gollum in a suit”

 “I’m a dork at heart”

These sketches couldn’t be any better even if the artist drew balls on Shkreli’s face.
