Amber Heard Found a Way to Be More Terrible With a Racist Tweet

Sarah Silverman is one of my favorite comedians, and she has pretty much made a career out of pretending to be stupid and socially inept. It’s really clever and hard to do, and it’s gotten her in trouble with people who either don’t understand how her comedy works or just feel that the things she says are inappropriate regardless of how she says them.

One famous example is from an appearance Silverman made on Late Night with Conan O’Brien 17 years ago where she said a friend told her to put something inappropriate like “I hate c****s” on her jury duty response to get out having to go, but she didn’t want to be racist, so she wrote “I love c****s.”

If you’re wondering what kind of person Sarah Silverman was actually making fun of with that joke, the answer is people like Amber Heard who tweeted one of the most egregious examples of rich white lady benevolent racism I’ve ever seen.

Before she deleted it, Heard’s tweet read “Just heard there’s an ICE checkpoint in Hollywood, a few blocks from where I live. Everyone better give their housekeepers, nannies and landscapers a ride home tonight…” which reads like a joke Ann Coulter might tell on Greg Gutfeld’s show, but Heard meant it sincerely, which is almost worse.

Heard isn’t the only famous rich person to bemoan the effect Trump’s immigration policy is having on the availability of cheap labor, though. For example, look at this tweet by Senator Kamala Harris, the presidential candidate your friend who’s still complaining about how Susan Sarandon didn’t vote for Hillary Clinton is going to tell you you’re racist for not supporting next year.

Yeah, that’s the problem with Trump’s immigration policy. Not families being ripped apart, just that there’s no one to pick your crops.

I mean, we already kind of knew Amber Heard was a terrible person though, didn’t we? I think she should be forced to get back together with Elon Musk as penance for this transgression, even though that might be considered cruel and unusual.
