NXIVM Cult Leader Keith Raniere Found Guilty

On Wednesday, Keith Raniere, leader of the NXIVM cult that Smallville star Allison Mack and Seagram liquor heiress Clare Bronfman were apart of, was found guilty of racketeering, sex trafficking, wire fraud conspiracy, forced labor conspiracy and attempted sex trafficking to name the majority. Mack and Brnofman previously plead guilty to avoid a trial.

NXIVM was billed as a self-help group which housed a secret group know as “DOS” or “The Vow” which was basically a cult. During the 6 weeks of testimony, members said they were branded near their bikini lines not realizing it was Raniere’s initials until later.

“She was squealing and screaming, and it looked horrendous,” former member Laura Salzman said. “It scared the other girls.”

Raniere’s little cult was mostly Raniere taking advantage of gullible girls. The organization was involved in sex trafficking, child pornography, extortion, compelled abortions, branding, degradation and humiliation. The entire cult was basically a MLM for Raniere’s sex slaves who were then forced to have sex with him, send him nudes and allow themselves to be branded. If you’re wondering why they stayed, the materials they were forced to give to Raniere was then used to blackmail them.
